Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Hi all, Just wanted to check-in and make sure you are up to date on the Summit. I have attached the program that we sent out as an insert in the Leader for in-depth information. It is not up to date as many more groups have since joined. We will have an updated list at the Summit. All East Jefferson High Schools will be in attendance on Friday with more than 80 organizations and businesses that are offering opportunities for youth. Zhaleh Almaee from the Nest has put together the youth voice symposium that will include a youth voice video we commissioned High School students to create. Finally Engage JC will be offering workshops inviting our youth to participate in the comprehensive planning process. On Saturday we have 120 organizations and agencies coming together, networking and connecting activities, public engagement activities from planning and the emergency preparedness crew, 6 Ignite Talks! all highlighting County projects, and up to 25 Open Space Conversations in which participants propose topics and lead sessions. Saturday will wrap-up with a story telling party at Finn River On Sunday, we are focusing on a community response to the climate change element of the comprehensive plan. Chimakum Elder Rosalee Walz, Kate Dean, and Josh Peters will set the tone and then eight diverse workshops will explore different modes of community conversation on the topic. Finally we will wrap-up with a community meal by Chef Arran Stark. We are super excited about how it has all come together and we hope it will meet and exceed the objectives laid out in the strategic plan that got this whole thing off the ground. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you all there! Thanks, Zach and Danny
