HomeMy WebLinkAbout031125 email - Re_ Consumer hurt on Jefferson Transit (0002)Good morning, Maggie - Thanks for keeping us informed. After seeing your message, I reached out to Jefferson Transit for an update. They were already well aware of an issue that sounds like the one you’re describing here. Of course, they can’t and didn’t share details about this particular person’s situation - but they were able to tell me that they completed a full incident report at the time of the accident <blob:outlook-mobile-compose:///89a3a7b4-4e4d-4b49-9ce7-cc7e183c1be5> Heather Dudley-Nollette Commissioner, District 1 Jefferson County Courthouse P.O. Another consumer who was behind following says first consumer had hand on rail moving with due caution. The lift for the ramp was not completely secure flat back in its nest. This happens more frequently than you think. Elderly consumer has swollen bruised knees and a badly scraped left arm. Consumer can't walk unassisted now. I know this consumer is in pain because I listened to them panting in pain all night long next to me. After incident real team took consumer to Aldrich's with cellphone pictures were taken, but knees/ arm look worse this am. This am consumer seems a little foggy having more of a hard time than normal. At everyone's suggestion consumer is going to Jefferson Hospital to see doctor. Consumer needs a walker now where before injury walked unassisted can you please call Julia Cochran and get consumer a ground floor hotel. From the looks of injury and age of consumer I'm sure there are going to be X-rays. See if Julia can get consumer ( who Julia Cochran knows) into harborside hotel for a few days, 103 is the room for people with disabilities. This consumer doesn't have a drug back ground hasn't been to jail, is not a violent person. This is an older economically disadvantaged person waiting for subsidized housing. Cheers Maggie
