for healthcare, nutritional assistance, veterans' benefits, and public lands. The Republican budget will take away good-paying jobs in our communities, raise energy costs, and strip

January's horrific fires ravaged Altadena, a community right outside Los Angeles tucked into the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. Altadena was a longtime haven for Black families
looking to own a home with access to the outdoors, and a diverse community close to nature. Its proximity to the foothills and the strong community kept families there for decades.
