Calling all farmers and food growers in the city of Port Townsend!
What: A potluck gathering of Port Townsend growers - farmers, food bank, school and community gardeners - to talk about engaging the City to protect and better support agriculture within
city limits.
When: 5:30 p.m on Saturday, March 22nd
Where: Quimper Grange - 1219 Corona St, Port Townsend
The City's current Comprehensive Plan (under review) directs it to "Review and possibly expand goals and policies for agriculture and gardening within city limits." Do you feel your
growing is supported by City policy and codes? How could you be more supported?
For the sake of the City's food security, green space, community and our own growth - whether as pastimes or livelihoods - let's get together to discuss what we can do to ensure that
agriculture large and small is properly supported by this beautiful, green city we call home.
