Dear County Commissioners,
I support regulating Short Term Rentals in Jefferson County, but am particularly concerned about the Planning Commission‘s recommendation that you only require a manager, rather than
the owner, to live in the county. That provision would encourage out-of-area investors to use our already-limited housing stock for the purpose of extracting tourist dollars from Jefferson
County.
I do support rules that would require organizations like Air B&B to have their members registered here.
Thank you for being willing to take on this important issue as we struggle to provide adequate housing opportunities for permanent residents.
