Dear Board of Commissioners,
We are concerned about any additional regulations on Short Term Rentals (STRs) in Jefferson County. We sold an investment property last summer and reinvested the funds in a Port Ludlow
Condo with the idea of renting it as a STR. Thus far it is way below breaking even expense wise. We are losing money each month. Additional regulations could make things worse for
the community and us. We feel STRs are good for the community. They produce income for the local economy in places like restaurants, gas stations, boat rentals, grocery stores, souvenir
shops, etc. etc. etc. The STR is a great way to introduce people to the wonderful life in Jefferson County. Jefferson County is a fantastic place to live and visit. We are extremely
proud of owning property in Jefferson County.
