Inadequate Fencing and Screening (RCW 46.80.130) Violation: -Junk vehicles,dismantled cars,and auto parts are openly visible from public roadways and neighboring properties. -Lack of a proper endosure violates RCW 46.80.130,which mandates that vehicle wrecking yards be fully screened by an opaque fence or wall at least eight feet in height. Evidence: -Multiple images show cars,parts,and debris exposed to public view. -No visible fencing or screening is present to block the view of the junkyard from surrounding areas. Requirement: -Construction of an eight-foot non-transparent fence or equivalent screening to comply with zoning and aesthetic standards. 2. Improper Storage of Vehicles and Materials (RCW 46.80.140) Violation: -Vehicles and auto parts are scattered haphazardly without containment,which may allow debris to spread and create safety hazards. Evidence: -Images depict unorganized piles of car parts and vehicles. - Overgrown vegetation and rusted parts indicate a lack of maintenance and proper storage protocols. Requirement: -Junkyards must maintain orderly storage of vehides and materials to ensure safety and compliance with zoning laws. 3. Environmental Non-Compliance (RCW 70A.205.195) Violation: -Vehicles and parts appear to be stored directly on the ground without containment measures for hazardous fluids or substances. -Standing water and proximity to overgrown vegetation raise concerns about potential environmental contamination. Evidence: -Images show puddles near junk vehicles,suggesting possible fluid leakage into the ground. -No visible containment systems for oil,antifreeze,or other hazardous materials. Requirement: -Vehicle wreckers must prevent environmental contamination by using appropriate containment systems and disposing of hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal laws. 4. Safety and Fire Hazards (Local Fire and Safety Regulations) Violation: - Overgrown vegetation,rusted parts,and disorganized piles of materials create fire and safety risks. -Lack of clear pathways or containment of potentially flammable materials is hazardous. Evidence: -Images show overgrown plants around vehicle frames and parts. -No visible fire prevention or containment measures on-site. Requirement: -Maintain clear,safe storage practices and implement fire prevention measures,such as clearing vegetation and organizing materials.
