SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT(l) re: Intellectual and Developmental
Disabilities Advisory Board (IDDAB); Self-Advocate, Camille Vigeant
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Program requests appointment of applicant
Camille Vigeant to the Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board (IDDAB) to
specifically fill the role of"self-advocate."
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PROS and CONS:
The Jefferson County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board (IDDAB) voted to
recommend that the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) appoint Camile Vigeant to the
IDDAB, filling the role of self-advocate at their regular meeting on March 25, 2025. The self-advocate role is
described in the updated IDDAB bylaws, which the board adopted on March 25, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
Concurrent to this request is another consent agenda item requesting approval of a resolution stating
members of the IDDAB who fill the "self-advocate" position are eligible to receive a $50 stipend per meeting
attended.
RECOMMENDATION:
JCPH management requests approval of the appointment of Camille Vigeant to the Jefferson County
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board in role of"self-advocate."
