I live in the Four Corners area along Discovery Bay and drive to Sequim multiple days per week to swim a mile and work out in the fitness area. I don’t like doing that drive but like
others in the PT area, do so because of the importance to my physical/mental health and overall well being. I strongly support a local aquatic center that is being proposed and have
been supporting such efforts since 2007 back when Make Waves was in existence. Opponents of this project correctly point out that there are multiple other priorities, eg roads, infrastructure,
etc that deserve attention. Those priorities don’t negate the importance of an aquatic center that will provide many community benefits, the most important of which are public water
safety for families and their children, and the clear physical and mental health benefits to the community.
Please endorse and search out fair taxing plans for funding an aquatic center for our community.
