Take action*: Help secure $17 million for Trust Land Transfer!
Dear John,
Trust Land Transfer (TLT) – one of Sierra Club WA’s top priorities in the 2025 state legislative session – is a tool that transfers economically under-performing state trust land into
conservation status. This land usually ends up becoming new parks, open spaces, nature preserves, and more.
Despite the ongoing battle over the budget, together, our advocacy has resulted in a $17 million budget allocation from the House of Representatives to fund four projects lead by Washington
Tribes. The Senate, on the other hand, proposed only $13 million and funding three projects instead of four. Once again, we need your advocacy to help ensure the Senate closes the gap
and matches the House’s funding.
