Urgent Action Requested | HB 1813
LSC Members,
Please reach out right now to your Senator and request that HB 1813 be pulled from Rules and voted off the Senate Floor.
HB 1813 is WSAC's legislative priority bill on behavioral health issues. It directs the Health Care Authority (HCA) to prepare for the reprocurement of Medicaid managed care contracts
by 7/1/2026. It also includes a requirement that the HCA develop a minimum service plan needed for each region. Finally the bill requires the HCA to direct managed care organizations
(MCOs) to establish, continue, or expand delegation arrangements with BH ASOs for crisis services.
The final floor deadline is quickly approaching (Wednesday, April 17th, 5 PM) and we are hearing there will only be two more "pulls" from the Rules Committee. A bill must be "pulled"
from the Rules Committee before it can be placed on a run list and heard on the Floor for a vote. There will be a Rules pull sometime today.
