HomeMy WebLinkAboutWORKSHOP re Public Facilities District JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORKSHOP AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of County Commissioners FROM: Mark McCauley,County Administrator DATE: April 21,2025 SUBJECT: Workshop: Public Facilities District STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The County had a Public Facilities District Public Hearing scheduled for April 14t'that it ended up cancelling on Friday, April I Ph. The hearing was cancelled due to the County's unsuccessful $250,000 grant request to the state to fund an aquatic facility design. Without those funds, the County needs to regroup and consult with community partners in the Aquatic facility effort to discuss options and possible next steps. ANALYSIS: A brief discussion regarding the PFD occurred at the April 14t'Board meeting. The Board committed to conducting a follow-on workshop the following week on April 21 sc The focus of the workshop will not be the JAC Survey results already presented on April 7t',but will focus on discussing options and possible next steps. The County expects to have a separate workshop on the JAC Survey results in the coming weeks to respond to comments received on the Survey. FISCAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION• Conduct the workshop.
