Plan for overnight road work on US 101 in Blyn for bridge girder installation April 24
BLYN – Late-night and early-morning travelers on US 101 in Blyn will want to add time to their trips.
8 p.m. Thursday, April 24 to 6 a.m. Friday, April 25:
* Expect traffic stops in both directions for up to 15 minutes.
* The traffic stops will occur at unscheduled times.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will set four 100-foot-long girders on a new US 101 bridge. The bridge crosses a creek between Slader Road
and Deerhawk Drive that flows to Sequim Bay.
The new bridge is scheduled to open this summer.

* Be kind – Workers are out there helping to keep everyone safe and improve the roadways.
* Pay attention – both to workers directing traffic and to fellow travelers.
* Stay calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible.
