HomeMy WebLinkAbout042525 email - Press Release_ Jefferson County Board of Health Seeks Community Stakeholder MemberThe Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners is inviting local residents to apply for a position on the Jefferson County Board of Health. The Board of Health oversees efforts to
protect and improve the public’s health by providing leadership that shapes Jefferson County Public Health’s approach to policies and programs enhancing the well-being of our community.
In accordance with updated guidelines outlined in House Bill 1152, the Board is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the “Other Community Stakeholder” seat.
This position is designated for individuals who represent one of the following community sectors within Jefferson County:
* Community-based organizations or nonprofits serving populations experiencing health inequities
* Active, reserve, or retired members of the armed services
* The business community
* The environmental public health regulated community
Residents with a passion for public health and a desire to help shape local health policy are strongly encouraged to apply.
