County Administrator Meet and Greet. April 29, 2025
After thoughts … quick synopsis of each candidate:
Roxanne from Pierce County:
Articulate speaker & government employee role for 33 years all in one county which is much bigger and much different than ours.
Everything would be through the lens of Pierce County applied to Jefferson County, ie I know what will work for you because I did it… ie those small rural counties need for more tourism.
She will have ALL the answers based upon “how they did it in”…. Pierce County.
Sheri from Hood River OREGON:
She has NOT experienced working with an engaged public or public speaking at the level we have in Jefferson County …
AND She said she’s “always been in second position in her job and now she wants to be in first” ???
Greg:
While I appreciate greatly the role and experience he has as an elected official and all the work that involves, he is not ready to take on the role of county admin. For Many Reasons!
And his priority to include “AI” as a solution/tool does not replace or represent “us”.
Josh:
His background demonstrates the diverse skill sets and perspectives he has learned & experienced from a wide range of education, jobs, and places.
Most importantly,, as our economy enters uncertain times, Josh represents deep connections & knowledge of our county and community, and can provide a calm voice of analysis and stability
to weather changes. I believe Josh represents “local” in all its strengths and weaknesses.
