Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Good morning commissioners, I would like to give you my thoughts on the candidates for the county administrator position after last nights meet and greet. My overwhelming feeling is that we need new eyes, a new voice, new direction within county government. I was very disappointed that with 19 qualified candidates we got four with two of them being current county employees. My thoughts… Greg, has pretty much delegated then abdicated his job as the South County commissioner. He has taken on projects outside of his district with great enthusiasm and let languish ones important to his constituents. We need something very different for a county administrator. Roxanne, She would be my first pick, she is well spoken, enthusiastic, engaging and eager. She would bring new eyes and a clean slate with her. She answered questions on the fly and handled the crowd well I thought. Sherri, I think she was very nervous but very “nice”, I don’t think she has what it takes to handle the strong personalities that we have here in Jefferson County. And that brings us to Josh, you have heard me say in meetings that I am very concerned with the amount of time that is spent in executive session on potential litigation to the county, DCD is very often included in that potential litigation and I have grave concerns about Josh’s judgment dealing with things such as that at a higher level. He isn’t a good manager now and the administrator position is much higher level management position. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this process and I know you have a hard job on your hands with a ton of pressure involved but I would just advise you to truly look into your hearts, think about the input given by us the “little” people that have entrusted you with our Jefferson County lives. We are counting on you… Thank you, Shellie Yarnell Brinnon
