SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD RESIGNATION(1)re: Veterans Advisory Board;
Vice Chair; Gary Lane
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On April 29, 2025, staff met with Vice Chair of the Veterans Advisory Board, Gary Lane. At that time he
indicated that he will resign from the Veterans Advisory Board. He has been serving Jefferson County as
one of our Service Officers, distributing funds from our County Veteran Relief Fund, and meeting weekly
with local Veterans for the past 15 years.
RECOMMENDATION
Accept the Jefferson County representative resignation from Gary Lane from the Veterans Advisory Board
and sign the Thank you letter for his many years. Staff is coordinating with the American Legion to honor
him for his services.
