What to expect
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday and some weekends, travelers will see single-lane alternating traffic. The work zones will be located between milepost 135 and milepost 153 near Queets.
Crews will mark the work zone boundaries and install materials to prevent erosion.
This work will help protect the environment while crews dig up the highway to replace outdated culverts.
Travelers will notice crews building several temporary single-lane bypass roads later in May and June. Once complete, temporary traffic lights will alternate travelers around the clock
through fall.
