New business; bed bugs, country advised to call EPA for abatement instructions.
Why is Casswell Brown designing a family side shelter that is Non- congregate, an individual side that is congregate when you consider that the shelter will not have showers or toilets
or potable water when the shelter is built for essential life needs and infectious disease transmission control. Let's not forget Jefferson Health Care, behavioral health do not shower
elderly or mental health consumers. Living outside or in the shelter these are the folks who need physical assistance or spoken instructions when showering, dressing/ aquisition of
clothes. They are most vulnerable to infections and are transmitters, we currently have pneumonia cases and conjunctivitis two cases over 70. When the CDC and NIH says congregate
shelters number one transmitter whose brilliant idea was it to build yet another congregate shelter at Casswell Brown to the tune of over 5 million?
Urban Rest Stop already ADA compliant, will have showers toilets laundry medical triage by Jefferson healthcare which will save them money,so vulnerable consumers can be assisted with
showers clothes laundry and medical triage at the former Port Townsend Yacht Club whose lease with the Port of Port Townsend is up in December. Remember it's the Port of Port Townsend
but it's on the federal shoreline which has a mandate to increase access to marginalized individuals and communities. The two docks in front will be given over for use by the department
of ecology for shoreline cleanup, restoration volunteer rescue and indigenous folks for seasonal harvesting. Also we plan to have a mail drop. The Marine Trades Association lost its
mail drop at the harbor so transitional and live aboard boat folks as well as fisherman and boat yard workers will have a place to pick up their mail. If people are working full time
they can have services by donation.
Old business 209a Monroe st shelter; the consumer who was attacked by lead staff member dog, known to be aggressive then scapegoated a bullied victim who went to hospital for treatment
and wound care and spent 55 dollars of own money on medical supplies and bandages at Safeway pharmacy is waiting for promised reimbursement from staff member responsible for his dog
attacking her. He also has promised not to bring his dog in again, but he broke this promise several times, bringing the dog in near the victim who is small, over 70 and found this
intimidating. Over all staff member has bullied, lied, manipulated, in general not acted with a sense of accountability or empathy, consumer has asked me to relay this and expressed
a willingness to talk to the county and Bayside about this, she's aware she handed in complaints she doesn't know if you got them or they were altered. Again please prioritize the
safety of consumers.
