ALERT: BE CAUTIOUS This email originated outside the organization. Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. We Need to Build Our Financial Capabilities <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=2e786b74a3&e=d7954f414c> Dear Trail Supporter, As I mentioned in a prior email, the PTC’s challenge is simple: We must build our financial capabilities sufficient to hire staff to assume a significant share of the large and increasing workload that has been shouldered entirely by volunteers. This is a challenging but necessary change for the PTC, and we have been making good progress towards this end. During the first years of the strategic planning period, we have been building our financial reserves to help facilitate this transition. We have also secured part-time contracted expertise to begin building operational capacity. In 2025, we will hire our first true employee—our first executive director. Our “buildout scenario” for a staffing plan includes a trail maintenance manager, a volunteer coordinator and outreach specialist, as well as a development (fundraising) director. With this transition to a professionally managed organization, the PTC will achieve its four long-term strategic goals by 2026. These include: * Ensuring PTC’s organizational health, resilience, and sustainability * Deepening our engagement with community members and leaders about the ODT’s value * Establishing a safe and accessible trail for current and future generations * Supporting regional trail planning and construction We’ve had the extraordinary support of many, many individuals, governments, foundations, and companies in funding our activities over the years. Now, as we look to sustain our work across generations, I am asking you to renew your support of the PTC today. Would you consider making a gift today to support the Peninsula Trails Coalition’s capacity building efforts in 2025 in the amount of $50, $100, $250, or even $1,000? A gift of whatever amount you can afford at this time, will go a long way to building the intergenerational organization we need to support and grow the Olympic Discovery Trail network. The extraordinary thing about the ODT as it has grown in vision and in miles over the years, is that it is a physical means of bringing us all together. Anyone and everyone can use the trail. Tens of thousands of people commute, recreate, vacation, and socialize each year on the ODT. We can all use more of that, I mean, coming together in good and healthy ways. That’s why I am calling on you today to support the PTC’s Spring into the Discovery Trail campaign with a contribution of $50, $100, $500, or whatever you can afford. Will you help us build an intergenerational economic engine for the North Olympic Peninsula by contributing to the PTC today? Our spring fundraising campaign ends soon, but your contribution will make a difference across generations. Thank you, <https://mcusercontent.com/862004159972503fe35fefc93/images/1567b274-5a18-04fa-30d4-c98602acc804.jpg> Jeffrey R. Bohman President, Board of Directors Peninsula Trails Coalition P.S. During this spring campaign, our goal is to raise $10,000 in online giving. Will you join the trail supporters who have already given by contributing today? Donate to our spring campaign! 💚 <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=482d7883f3&e=d7954f414c> <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=94a748c473&e=d7954f414c> <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=80ae52cd81&e=d7954f414c> <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=e30a1935f3&e=d7954f414c> <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=529dcd4b4b&e=d7954f414c> <mailto:info@olympicdiscoverytrail.org> <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=02369ca44b&e=d7954f414c> Copyright © 2025 Peninsula Trails Coalition, All rights reserved.
