We recently paid our property tax online and upon review of our CC online review noted payment to "Jefferson County Gop" which caused us great(!!!) concern until our deeper research
identified on the transaction detail:
Description: Jefferson County Gop
Also known as: Jefferson County Gop
Merchant type: Government services
Method: Online, mail or phone
This descripion does not identify Gop to mean "Government online services" and still could mean that we are providing money to the GOP which would never be our intent.
We recommend that your online payment using CC to include words like "Your CC transaction will be identified as: Jefferson County Gop. (Note: we do not know payment result for use of
Visa Debit, and E-checks)
