Various Jefferson County Road Improvement Projects
Statement of Issue:
The issue is a need for professional surveying services to accomplish the surveying and mapping work
required to complete various Jefferson County Road Improvement and Maintenance Projects.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's:
This agreement will facilitate the required surveying services to be provided by the consulting surveying
firm Clark Land Office from Sequim, Wa. This firm was chosen thru a formal consultant selection process
that included evaluation of Statement of Qualifications from the Jefferson County Public Work's 2010
Professional Services Roster, participation in consultant interviews, evaluation of consultant references,
and approval of the selection by the County Engineer. This surveying consultant was chosen to enter into
agreements, along with 2 other consultants, out of a field of 31 firms that are on the 2010 Professional
Services Roster, due to their excellent professional surveying capability and references.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
This agreement provides for surveying services for anticipated Jefferson County Public Works projects
thru December 31, 2013 with a maximum amount payable of $50,000. The maximum amounts payable
for the required surveying work for each project will be individually negotiated in subsequent formal Task
Assignment Documents, at the time that each project requires surveying work to be done. No minimum
amount of work is guaranteed by this agreement.
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to approve and execute the three (3) originals of the Standard Consultant Agreement
with Clark Land Office where indicated, and return two (2) signed originals to Public Works (attn. John
Wayand). .
