I hope you'll join GoRail in urging Congress to support continued federal funding for rail safety and grade crossing programs.
In the coming months, Congress will consider surface transportation reauthorization legislation that will shape infrastructure investment at both the state and local levels. In 2021,
we saw historic federal funding directed toward rail crossing improvements and grade separation projects—investments that are already making communities safer and more connected.
As lawmakers begin to set priorities in D.C., I ask the you consider joining over 400 local and state leaders who have signed on to GoRail’s group letter in support of transportation
policies that strengthen our economy, improve public safety, and enhance infrastructure investment.
The attached letter outlines key recommendations for Congress, including:
• Increasing funding for at-grade crossing safety projects and public infrastructure programs

• Ensuring long-term solvency of the Highway Trust Fund
