SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD UPDATE re: Jefferson County Rural Library District
Board of Trustees: 1) Resignation: Trustee Cherie Van Hoover; and 2)
Appointment: Trustee Lisa Brandes
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On May 19, 2025, notice was received from Jefferson County Rural Library District Board of Trustees
Acting Director Daniel Heaton, that the following board member will be resigning from their unexpired term
effective July 1, 2025:
1. Trustee Cheri Van Hoover
The Jefferson County Rural Library Board of Trustees considered applicants for this open position left
vacant upon the end of Trustee Cheri Van Hoover's resignation. After consideration of the candidates, the
Trustees request that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) appoint the following individual:
2. Trustee Lisa Brandes
ANALYSIS:
After said recommendation the Jefferson County Rural Library District Board of Trustees is recommending
that the BOCC approve the following resignation and appointment of the following individuals:
1. Trustee Cheri Van Hoover—Resigning effective July 1, 2025
2. Trustee Lisa Brandes—Appointment to an unexpired term ending on March 31, 2030
RECOMMENDATION
1. Accept the resignation of Trustee Cheri Van Hoover
2. Approve the appointment of Trustee Lisa Brandes
