We’ve done great work, there's always more to do but I have a million happy memories. People ask what projects stand out during my 25+ years here? So many! We are especially proud of helping our merchants get through major construction projects. The place-making projects like the Tyler Plaza Lighting Project, Hidden Histories signs, pretty pocket parks, rain gardens and hanging flower baskets welcome people to come to town and invite them to spend more time here. Promotions like our increasingly popular (and free) Concerts on the Dock series attract thousands of people downtown and give reasons to come back. The October Haunted events and the new PT Shop & Sip entertain people in the shoulder season. The new Downtown Mobile Greeter Program welcomes visitors on an e-bike stocked with info about PT. The list is longer but space is tight here! We have been honored with nine Excellence on Main awards from the WA State Main Street Program in my time here—a testament to all our work. Our board, committee members and event volunteers have donated thousands of hours to Main Street which shows how much they care about our town. Sue Arthur has been on our Promotion Committee for 30+ years! Thank YOU Sue! Our volunteers are priceless! We have a solid organization, a dedicated board and a hard-working team with Eryn, Sasha, Amy, Emily, Kate, Holly , and our greeters Ron and Cole. Our partnerships are strong and mean so much. Plans are in place for a great year. I’ll miss working with such dedicated people. And I’ll miss looking out our window at the eagle perched atop the Hastings Building flagpole. And the luminous rainbows and pink sunsets hugging the water. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life, and filling it with more creative experiences and happy memories. We continue to make our town an inviting and wonderful place to be for our community and its visitors.
