You can do it. The Strait Shot is your answer. The Strait Shot "Route 123" is Clallam County's bus service <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=a68145c2ca&e=2f0c4aec92> that runs from a limited number of stops along the Olympic Peninsula to and from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. From the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal, you can get on the Strait Shot bus and travel along 101 to Blyn or Sequim or Port Angeles. It costs $10 per person and you can pay with cash. Buses are equipped with a bike rack on the front, space for luggage, and have a restroom. The bus is never early but it is sometimes late. It does not wait for any ferry boats arriving late from downtown Seattle's ferry terminal. If you miss the bus, it's a long wait until the next one. Service is not frequent so make sure you have a back up plan. They will not turn the bus around even if you call them and ask nicely. Bainbridge Island is in Kitsap County. The Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) begins at Boat Haven in Port Townsend, which is in Jefferson County. Check out Jefferson County's bus lines <https://olympicdiscoverytrail.us21.lis t-manage.com/track/click?u=862004159972503fe35fefc93&id=017f11d65d&e=2f0c4aec92> to see where else you can go by bus along the ODT. You can also work with a local hiking and biking company for arranging a shuttle or for hiking or biking tours. Brian is the Olympic View Area Manager for Washington State Parks. He has been working for parks for 28 years. He oversees Fort Worden, Fort Flagler, Fort Townsend, Anderson Lake, Mystery Bay, Kinney Point and the Rothschild House. He has been in his current post for the last 11 years and has seen a lot of change over the years. Brian’s presentation will be an update on the Anderson Lake State Park Trail Extension and trailhead project that is part of the Olympic Discovery Trail. He will also answer questions about the other parks he manages. This is a public meeting and all are invited.
