Reminder for boaters: Draw span restrictions planned at SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge June 9-13
SHINE – Boaters are reminded to plan for restrictions to draw span openings at the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge.
Bridge maintenance
From 7 a.m. Monday, June 9 until 5 p.m. Friday, June 13, boaters are required to request draw span openings 24 hours in advance. The advanced notice for marine openings is needed to
perform bridge maintenance. No advanced notice is necessary for navigation underneath the trusses.
Motor vehicle traffic across the bridge is not affected by this work.
Seasonal restrictions
Pleasure craft operators also have seasonal afternoon restrictions at the bridge. From May 22 to Sept. 30 each year, regulations prohibit pleasure craft operators from requesting draw
span openings from 3 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. each day.
The seasonal restrictions do not apply to commercial or Department of Defense vessels.

This restriction applies year-round.

* West truss in Jefferson County - 31 feet
* East truss in Kitsap County - 50 feet
