Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: Paradise Bay Road is a Rural Minor Collector that serves as the primary (non-truck) connection to the greater Port Ludlow community. This project will complete the 211 asphalt overlay of a segment of Paradise Bay Road from M.P. 3.74 (the end of previous adjoining asphalt improvement segment, near the Andy Cooper Road/Paradise Bay Road intersection) to M.P. 6.00 (the SR 104/Paradise Bay Road intersection). The Paradise Bay Road Overlay project is a transportation improvement project that is included in the officially adopted 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as Item No. 22. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total estimated project cost is $1,435,000, and will be funded by a Rural Arterial Program (RAP) grant (90%/10%) in 2025 from the Washington State County Road Administration Board (CRAB). Reviewed"By: Mark McCaulej County Administrator ate STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the matter of Creating a County project x RESOLUTION NO. designated as Paradise Bay Road Overlay, x M.P. 3.74 to M.P. 6.00 BE IT RESOLVED that Paradise Bay Road Overlay, County Road No. 50360, from M.P.3.74 to M.P.6.00, be improved as follows: The Paradise Bay Road Overlay project is a transportation improvement project that is included in the Officially adopted 2025 —2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as Item No. 22. This project includes rebuilding a segment of the existing shoulder and placing an asphalt overlay of the existing lanes and shoulders from M.P. 3.74 to M.P. 6.00. Jefferson County applied for a Rural Arterial program (RAP) grant from the County Administration Board (CRAB) in 2024 and anticipates receiving funding in 2025. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown: PURPOSE PREVIOUS APPROPRIATION PRESENT APPROPRIATION Engineering $ 0 $ 84,000.00 Right-of-Way Acquisition $ 0 $ 0.00 Sub-Total $ 0 $ 84,000.00 Construction: $ 0 $ 1,351,000.00 TOTAL $ 0 $ 1,435,000.00 X This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No. 22 . The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.130. The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and W.A.C. 136.18.
