Hi, Fruit Enthusiasts and Fans of Local Living -
Good news: Shooting Star Farm's orchard has a really nice fruit set this year, so
Our 6 week CSA is BACK for the third season.
What?
You pick up a 10-12# box of tree-ripened organic fresh fruit, picked the same day, plus a little weekly bonus - a farm surprise.
🍎🍅🍑🍐Peaches, Plums, Apples (some each: fresh, drying & one outstanding baking type), Pears, gorgeous Crabapples, and (hopefully) a few Asian Pears.
When?
THURSDAYS Aug 21- Sept 25 (6 weeks)
We may take a gap week and extend to Sept 29 - (depends what's ripe when).
How?
You pick up fruit & bonus (and hopefully return last week's box) after noon on Thursdays at the farm. Say hi & see what's happening.. or just sneak in and out quickly. you'll receive
a little email with the varieties, and in some cases how each type is best used (fresh, cooking, drying, etc.)
Cost?
$190 for 6 boxes of 10-12# organic fruit /week.
As imported food costs rise, this local fruit cost stays the same :)
(Works out to about $3/lb).
How?
First people to reply to this email will secure a share.
In the past, the fruit CSA filled in 48 hours💫.
Three spaces left.
I will notify the final list of Fruit CSA members by mid June.
Payment by check will be requested at that time.
