Clean energy is thriving in red states

Across the country, clean energy is transforming lives -- it's lowering bills, creating jobs, protecting our climate, and building a healthier future. But Trump's budget bill threatens
to wipe out our progress. Already in 2025, $14 billion in clean energy projects have been canceled due to fear that this legislation will be signed into law.1
But here's the surprising truth: clean energy is thriving in red states, and cuts to funding are deeply unpopular -- and that gives us a real shot at stopping the worst parts of this
budget bill, which the Senate could vote on as soon as next week.

Trump's budget bill would sacrifice our climate, public lands, including the Arctic, our health, and our clean energy future to give handouts to the corporate polluters who bought access
to this administration.
We must do everything in our power to stop it. Our strategy is simple: The more of us who speak up -- through making calls, writing letters, posting on social media, and more -- the
more we can turn the tide by showing our Senators how unpopular this bill is.
If Republican Senators feel enough pressure from their own communities, they could break rank.
Our activism is already working. This legislation passed the House of Representatives by only one vote. And we helped block their plan to sell off 500,000 acres of public lands. We're
making progress, but we must keep up the drumbeat by demanding the Senate stop this assault on environmental protections!
