HomeMy WebLinkAboutCONSENT Resolution re Oil City project Department of Public Works O Consent Agenda Page 1 of 1 Jefferson County Board of Commissioners Agenda Request To: Board of Commissioners Mark McCauley, County Administrator From: Monte Reinders, P.E., Public Works Director/County Engineer Agenda Date: June 16, 2025 Subject: Resolution to Create County Project Oil City Road Unnamed Tributary - Culvert Replacement Oil City Road MP 6.73, County Road No. 134309 Statement of Issue: Create a county project known as the Oil City Road Unnamed Tributary - Culvert Replacement. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's &t Con's: The Oil City Road MP 6.73 Culvert Replacement is a transportation improvement project included in the officially adopted 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program as Item No. 26. This project will remove the fish passage barrier and improve county road infrastructure by replacing the culvert at Oil City Road MP 6.73 with a new concrete box culvert. This project is being funded and managed by Trout Unlimited. Jefferson County will provide assistance with right-of-way acquisition, and coordination with design and construction. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total estimated cost for Jefferson County right-of-way assistance, and coordination on design and construction is $9,559. The design and construction coordination will be funded at 100% by NOAA through a reimbursable, subrecipient agreement with Trout Unlimited. Jefferson County will contribute $2,000 to right-of-way assistance from the County Road Fund. The construction cost is estimated at $1,400,000 and will be entirely funded by Trout Unlimited. Reviewed By: t. 11,2 Mark McCain County Administrator Dat STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the matter of Creating a County project RESOLUTION NO. designated as Oil City Road Unnamed Tributary— Culvert Replacement Oil City Road MP 6.73 BE IT RESOLVED that Oil City Road County Road No. 134309, M.P.6.73, be improved as follows: The Oil City Road MP 6.73 Culvert Replacement is a transportation improvement project included in the officially adopted 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program as Item No. 26. This project will remove the fish passage barrier and improve county road infrastructure by replacing the culvert at Oil City Road MP 6.73 with a new bridge or box culvert. This project is being funded and managed by Trout Unlimited. Jefferson County will provide assistance with right-of-way acquisition, and coordination with design and construction per the table below. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that: The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq. The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and W.A.C. 136.18. X Trout Unlimited will design and manage this project and be responsible for contracting and payment.
