There is support for children with any kind of medical diagnosis that could be a barrier to finding a job and thriving in the workplace (including allergies and conditions that affect mobility, etc.) Speak in-person in a quieter, semi-private area at All-County Preparedness Day with the caring professionals who can connect you to services. Remember: * Higher IQs are no longer a barrier to receiving developmental disabilities services. * Minors living in households with higher family incomes may still receive services. * A lifetime of support services is available to eligible people of all ages through Washington State Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS) (Formerly DDA). One simplified definition of intellectual and developmental disability: Intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) originate before age 18, continue indefinitely, and cause limitations. A few examples of IDD include cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down Syndrome, various learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
