Senate Republicans just released a proposal to sell off vast swaths of public lands across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska — all to fund an extension of Donald Trump’s tax cuts for
billionaires.

To be clear, this new Senate proposal would force the sale of millions of acres of public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service — in Alaska, Arizona,
California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. That’s far beyond the 500,000 acres targeted in the US House version from a few weeks ago, and
it’s right at our doorstep.
We’re calling on Sierra Club members across the Pacific Northwest to step up and pressure our federal lawmakers — especially some that have shown surprising courage on these issues.
This is the time to stand up and be heard.
