Plan for intermittent daytime closures of US 101 at the Jefferson/Clallam County line south of Forks
FORKS – People who use US 101 along the coast at the Jefferson/Clallam County line will want to plan extra travel time Thursday, June 19.
7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, June 19:
* Crews will stop traffic at unscheduled times near Dowans Creek Road.
* There will be up to five traffic stops during the day.
* Expect 30-minute stops in both directions.

The new bridge replaces a culvert that blocks fish migration under the highway.
