A few years ago T-mobile tried to place a cellular tower at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and were rejected by the county. The northern part of the city has notoriously poor cellular
coverage for many carriers and spotty for the ones that are better. The southern part of the city is better. I know that letters have been written to the previous board of commissioners.
I would like to reiterate the desire from citizens in this area of town to have better service with more options. This would not only be an income opportunity for the county but also
add valuable safety measures to the citizens for communication options in case of emergency.
Please let me know your thoughts on this matter as several of us would like to seek other options for placement if the county is still opposed.
