Brown called the meeting to order at the <br />appointed time in the presence of commissioner B. G. Brown and Commissioner <br />Larry W. Dennison. <br /> <br />AGRJ!:EKENT re: Services for Hotel/Motel Tax Funds: Jefferson County <br />Historical society: Commissioner B. G. Brown moved to approve the agreement <br />with the Jefferson County Historical Society for services provided for 1990 <br />Hotel Motel Tax Funds. Commissioner Dennison seconded the motion which <br />carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />AGRRF.MEHTS re: services for 1990 Non-Departmental Funding: Domestic <br />violence. Sexual Assault Program and Clallam Jefferson Communi ty Action <br />Council: The agreements with the Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault Program <br />and the Clallam Jefferson Community Action Council for services provided for <br />funding from the 1990 Non-Departmental budget were approved by motion of <br />commissioner B. G. Brown, seconded by Commissioner Dennison. The motion <br />carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FR.OM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Ed Markusen. Librazy District Board of Trustees re: Purchase of <br />County Property Adjacent to County Librazy Facility: Ed Markusen, member of <br />LiÞrary District Board of Trustees, reported to the Board that the Library <br />District Board of Trustees would like to purchase the property adjacent to <br />the County Library building. The Library District Boa~d is planning <br />expansion of the Library building and parking area. <br /> <br />Public Works Director, Gary Rowe, reported that the property where. the County <br />Library is located was purchased by the county for a gravel pit, and the <br />Library p'l,1rchased just what they needed originally. There isn't much useable <br />gravel material left on this site. <br /> <br />Mr. Markusen stated that the Library District would be interested in buying <br />whatever portion of the property is available. After discussion of the need <br />for this site, Gary Rowe reported that it is in an inactive status right now. <br />The County needs to know exactly how much property the Library District <br />anticipates it will need for their future plans. Mr. Markusen stated that <br />the optimum amount of parking is the main concern. There is also discussion <br />of building expansion. He added that the Library District will provide more <br />specific information to the County on their needs ~or additional property. <br /> <br />Gary Rowe suggested tha-ç the Library's architect WO!::]{.with county staff to <br />provide the necessary information.
