Brown and Commissioner Larry W. Dennison <br />after their attendance at an Emergency Services Tabletop Exercise. <br /> <br />Paintina Contract for the Gardiner Community Center: The <br />Contract for painting at the Gardiner Community Center was awarded to <br />30hn Kinsella Painting of Sequim for $1,213.00, by motion of <br />Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Dennison. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS: <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Recommendation for Bid Award re: Scale Systems for Landfill: <br />Gary Rowe, Public Works Director, recommended that the Board award the <br />bid for two electronic platform scales to Unitech Corporation at their <br />bid price of $43,211.63. It was also recommended that the Unitech <br />option for the installation of a ten foot concrete approach slab for <br />each side of each scale be accepted in the amount of $1,220.00. <br /> <br />After discussion of where the two sets of scales will be located, <br />Commissioner Brown moved to award the bid for two electronic platform <br />scales to Unitech Corporation as recommended by the Public Works <br />Director with the option for the installation of the ten foot concrete <br />approaches. Commissioner Dennison seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Memo to Board re: Annual Bridae Inspection: Gary Rowe <br />submitted a copy of the annual Bridge Inspection Report to the Board. <br />This is an update of the biennial inspection done in 1985, as required <br />by the State. <br /> <br />Public Notice re: Purchase of Protvoe Display Typewriter for <br />Prosecutor's 'Office: Commissioner Brown moved to approve the posting <br />of the public notice for the purchase of a Protype Display Typewriter <br />in the amount of $3,283.65 for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. This <br />posting is done in accordance with Resolution 2-78 requiring posting <br />for purchases over $1,000.00.
