Ther have been several parcels where contract default <br />has taken place, primarily due to lack of any developmental improvements, Under <br />petition BOE-87-065-LO, the B8ard has been asked to provide relief in the assessed <br />valuation on nine parcels. The Board decided to review the valuations after making <br />an inspection of the area at 10:30 A.M. on 09-23-87. <br /> <br />The rationale for an equalization adjustment on these two subdivisions was based on <br />the following factors: <br /> <br />HAMILTON ADDITION : The only access to the area is an unimproved road (Howard Street) <br />which covers a water main leading to a reservoir to the southwest of the subdivision. <br />The equalization factors determined to be realistic were: <br /> <br />(1) All lots in Blocks 1-6, 15 should be valued at $2,000 per lot. <br />(2) All lots in Blocks 7-10,15 which are a block away from the water source, <br />should be valued at $1,500 per lot. <br />(3) All lots in Blocks 11,13, which are two blocks away from the water source, <br />'l'he should be valued at $1,000 per lot. <br />followlng parcels were assigned EOE petition numbers and d' t d' <br />BO"' 8 . . , a JUS e . <br />~- 7-065-LO Lloyd M.
