Brown called the meeting to order in the <br />presence of all Board members, staff, and the City Representative <br />present. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: The Minutes of the March 17, 1987 <br />meeting were approved as read by motion of Commissioner Larry W. <br />Dennison, seconded by Commissioner George Brown. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR/DIRECTOR OF NURSING REPORT: Proposed new fees <br />for Nursing Services were discussed by Mary Catlin. The proposed fees, <br />Mary Catlin reported, were set by the level of reimbursement that the <br />Department can receive from State and federal medical aid programs. <br />These fees will only be charged to people who are on medical assistance <br />or who can afford them. No fee will be charged to anyone who cannot <br />afford it. After considerable discussion of each new fee and the <br />reason for it, City Representative, Glenn Ison suggested that the fee <br />ordinance be worded as follows: "Fees charged will be to the amount <br />reimbursable by Medicaid or any State or federal program," which would <br />accomplish the same purpose as listing all of the fees separately. The <br />advantage to this wording would be that the ordinance would not have to <br />
