Pitts called the meeting to order <br />in the absence of Chairman B.G. Brown. Commissioner Larry W. Dennison <br />was present as well as all of the staff members, and the City of Port <br />Townsend representative. <br /> <br />APPEDVAL OF THE MINUTES: The Minutes of October 16, 1985 <br />were approved by motion ot Commissioner Dennison, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pitts. Commissioner Pitts asked about the short course on On-Site <br />Wastewater Treatment that Randy Durant attended in Seattle, regarding <br />what is in the offing in the way of new alternative systems and what <br />was discussed in regard to financing options. <br /> <br />Randy Durant reported that the financing discussed was low interest loans <br />for repair of systems and as far as new systems in the future there will <br />be increased use of mound systems and sand filters. <br /> <br />DIRECTOR OF NURSING REPORT: The Flu Clinics were concluded <br />during the month of October, with 16 City employees receiving shots which <br />was more than last year. <br /> <br />;, Smokeless tobacco information was distributed to area Dentists, atu:LHigh <br />School teachers. <br />* Smoking and Pregnancy information was given to all the physicians in <br />the community with several of them asking for more material. <br />.k The "Buckle Up" program continued in the Chimacum Creek Pre School and <br />Wanda Cotton's Pre School. <br />* Kah Tai, City of Port Townsend and Community Action Council employees <br />will receive information on the Great American Smoke Out in their pay <br />envelopes. Posters are also up in various places around the community <br />on this project. <br />
