Brown called the meeting to order at the <br />appointed time with all members in attendance. <br /> <br />Approval of the Minutes: Commissioner O'Meara seconded <br />Commissioner Pitts' motion to'approve the minutes of March 21, 1984. <br /> <br />NURSING DIRECTOR REPORT: March was a busy month, Gretchen <br />Gephart reported, with an increase in cases of Pediculosis (lice), home <br />visit referrals, especially from the schools,and In-service training <br />sessions at Kai Tai Center, a preschool and Bayshore Enterprises. A <br />"Kiddie Health Fair" is being set up for the Quilcene area as a community <br />education event. <br /> <br />Gretchen advised that she had presented her foot care proposal to the Area <br />Agency on Aging Advisory Board in Shelton on Monday and they recommended <br />fundi,ng the program for $1,000. If the Health Board will write a lette,- <br />of support, she feels that the full $1500 request would be considered fOT <br />funding, The full amount is need to implement a good program. The last <br />clinic in Brinnon took care of 13 clients, with 11 clients at the Quilcene <br />clinic, which is alot for one session in each community. <br /> <br />The board directed Gael Stuart to write a letter of support and recommen- <br />dation for the full funding requested, for their signatures. <br /> <br />Request for waiver from Triton Cove Oyster Farms: Gael Stuart <br />read Ron Powell's request for a waiver trom Section IV, Provision 4.1.a <br />of the Health Department Rules and Regulations (Ordinance No. 2-77) which <br />requires that all food service establishments have toilet facilities for <br />each sex. <br /> <br />Randy Durant reported that the Health Department supports approval of this <br />request for the Triton Cove Oyster Farms, on the basis that there is only <br />Rre-packaged food, no food processing, no seating and because the sewage <br />disposal system is quite small and it could possibly faTl. -- , - <br /> <br />. <br />
