Rowe <br />Deputy Director of Public Services: David Goldsmith <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Week of June 8, 1998 <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Glen Huntingford. Commissioners <br />Richard Wojt and Daniel Harpole were both present. <br /> <br /> Entrance Conference with State Auditor: State Auditor, Kitty Davy, reported that there <br />are 3 auditors working on the County's audit this year and some of the preliminary work has already <br />been completed. They will be putting more emphasis on compliance issues during their audit this year. <br />The County is subject to changes in the Single Audit Act which means there may be a reduction in the <br />number of federal grants that need to be reviewed. <br /> <br /> The Board met in Executive Session from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with the Prosecuting <br />Attorney, the Director of Community Development, and the Director and Deputy Director of Public <br />Services regarding a personnel matter. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following comments were made: a student in a <br />political science class was observing the meeting as part of an assignment; a request from the PUD for <br />the Board to pass an emergency ordinance regarding siting a water tower which is an essential public <br />facility; and a thank you to the Board for the prompt response to a letter from the Democratic Central <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
