Rowe <br />Deputy Director of Public Services: David Goldsmith <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Week of June 15, 1998 <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Glen Huntingford. Commissioners Daniel <br />Harpole and Richard Wojt were both present. <br /> <br /> Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Wojt moved to approve the minutes of the week of <br />May 26, 1998 as presented. Commissioner Harpole seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br /> Bob Minty, Emergency Services Coordinator re: Special Event Permit; Olympic Music <br />Festival: Bob Minty reported that this application was received last week and has been routed to all the <br />required departments for review. The food service permits have been issued. Commissioner Wojt <br />moved to approve this permit contingent on the necessary approvals from all other required departments <br />and the submission of any other required paperwork. Commissioner Harpole seconded the motion <br />which carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Warren Steurer and Bill Kush re: Volunteer Recognition: Commissioner Harpole <br />explained that the City Recreation Department is hosting an "Honor and Thank You Luncheon" for <br />volunteer coaches in the community, including an afternoon of mini clinics on Sports Law, Sports Flow, <br />Sports Injuries, and Sportsmanship. The cost per person is $25.00. The City is requesting that the <br />County provide funding for 30 coaches from the County. Bill Kush, City Recreation, reported that they <br />are hoping to have 70 volunteer coaches participate. The City is paying for some of their volunteers, <br />and the Port Townsend School District will be sending approximately 10 to 14 coaches. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
